Are all watering cans the same?
I have a very large collection of potted plants that are both inside and outside and considering I live in a state that seems to get very little rain, I constantly have to water my plants. I don’t have the luxury of an outside water spout to hook up a hose; it is on the other side of the house and would take a very, very long hose to reach the area I keep my potted plants. So, my question is, are all watering cans the same? Does it make any difference how you get water to your plants just as long as you water them? I’ve been told, from time to time, that there are certain watering cans that are actually harmful to my plants; this was news to me so I thought I should find out first hand, from an expert, if this is myth or fact. I typically use a large bucket that I fill from the spout on the other side of the house and then use a cup or something else to water my outside plants. For my inside plants I just use a plastic pitcher to water my plants. I’ve not had any bad results, but if I am harming my plants, I want to know about it. What kind of useful information can you give on this subject and is there an easier way for me to water my outside plants without having to transport heavy buckets of water to where my plants are?
