I am in the process of building a medium sized greenhouse for my personal use. I’ve done some research on the different types of greenhouses but am a bit confused about how much difference there is in a wooden build greenhouse and an aluminum build greenhouse. Does it make much of a difference and are there more benefits to the aluminum built verses the wooden build greenhouse? I can see where the aluminum built might be easier to heat but also I am concerned that it might get too hot. What are your opinions on this subject; I’d like to have as many facts before I make my decision. There are positive arguments on both sides of the topic and there are negatives as well; so I decided to come to the experts in the field and get your honest opinion on which you think is the wisest choice for me. I might add that I live in a very Northern state and our winters are brutal; this is one of the reasons I’m considering the aluminum over the wood; it might keep my plants safer in the brutal winter months.

Personally I prefer an Aluminium greenhouse for the simple reason that they don't need much looking after !
Wood can warp and needs treating every so often and it's one hell of a job in my experience ! I've currently got an 8ft x 6ft Gardman greenhouse but I'm very tempted to go for a bigger model now. I like the look of the Elite Classique 12ft x 20ft in Green from www.ukgreenhousesales.co.uk. At under £1500 it seems decent enough: Elite CLASSIQUE 12ft 6" x 20ft 5" Greenhouse - Greenhouses UK - All Leading Brand Greenhouses Thing is I'm not sure which glazing to go for this time.
