Post What to expect

Our neighbors, whom have spent a great deal of time, effort, and money into the beautiful flower garden that consumes a large portion of their back yard, have invited my husband and me over for a garden event. I’m not even sure what that is and what I am expected to do or if I should bring a gift of some sort to this event. Can you explain what a garden event is and what is the proper etiquette applied to such an event? I have a small flower bed along the front of my house but have not even considered expanding it to the back yard; we just don’t have the time to devote to such a project as both my husband and I work full time jobs and have young children to take care of. Our neighbor, however, is a stay-at-home mom and has devoted a great deal of time in her garden. I know she is proud of it, but it is a bit embarrassing in comparison to our very small flower bed in the front of our house. My question is what the heck is a garden event?
