Lightbulb Project Greenhouse

My husband has designed on paper the specs to build me a small greenhouse. He is excited about completing this project but I’m afraid he isn’t researching the project well enough to build a proper greenhouse. Can you tell me what kind of wood, plastic, heating, and watering system would be best to use in this greenhouse? I fear he will want to cut corners and save a little money by using less than adequate materials. If we are going to invest in this project I feel we need to do it right the first time and avoid having to fix problems as they arise. What do you suggest? I might add that we live in a northern state and the winters can be quite cold. I want to make sure that we use the correct type of heating/cooling system to maintain the proper temperature levels. I appreciate your help with this matter.
