Post Regional Garden Events; are they worth it?

I noticed in my local paper this week that a well known garden supply company is putting on a large garden event in our area. The article said there would be booths with vendors explaining different types of gardening techniques and offering literature to promote their products. I am an experienced gardener; my flower garden and vegetable garden are always well taken care of. Are these big name garden events worth attending for somebody who has been gardening for most of her adult life? I am a bit interested in seeing what they have to offer, but honestly, I’m not ready to give up the way I’ve always done things. Can you outline some of the things I might find at such an event and is it really worth my time? I know I sound like an old prude, but I’m rather set in my ways and can probably tell these people a thing or two about how to grow a garden.
