I’m in a pickle to learn how to pickle

When I was a little girl I remember my mother growing a large crop of cucumbers so she could make pickles. She had several different types of pickles; sweet, dill, and a couple other types I don’t recall. My favorite was the sweet pickles, which are called “bread and butter pickles”; I’d really like to know how to make these but can’t find a decent recipe anywhere. I’m hoping that there are some other folks here who can share some pickling recipes with me. If not, maybe somebody can give me the name of a book or magazine that deals with pickle recipes. I’m in a hurry for this information as I have already planted a large amount of cucumbers and bought the jars I need to make the pickles; all I need now is a recipe. Hope somebody can help me soon or I’m going to be up to my neck in cucumbers.
