Garden Literature

I want to start a raised plant bed to grow a variety of herbs but I’m having trouble finding the right literature to help me in this project. I need a book or possibly a website that will detail for me the types of herbs I want to grow and how I should go about doing this. I have a subscription to a gardening magazine, but even it doesn’t help me much. Do you have any ideas on this topic? It shouldn’t be this hard to find the right garden literature pertaining to growing herbs, but I’m having no luck finding any. I really don’t want to spend the extra money on a book that might or might not help. Can you suggest a book or magazine that is all about herbs and how to grow them? I already have the plant bed ready; I just need to know what herbs grow best and at which time of the year I should plant them. I sure hope you can help. Thank you so much.
