Post Retired and Need a Hobby

I am recently retired and have always loved gardening but I don’t want to wait until spring to get my hands back into the dirt. I am considering building a greenhouse and need to know some information concerning this. What type of materials should I use to build my greenhouse? What temperature should I maintain? How often should I keep my plants watered? If I’m going to do this, I want to do it right so any information you can give me would be very helpful. I’m even considering turning this hobby into a business but I want to make sure I am heading in the right direction. I plan on raising different types of flowering plants; some exotic types of flowers as well, which can be costly, but also profitable. If you can direct me as to how to begin this project I would appreciate the help so much. I also need to know the size of my greenhouse; should I go ahead and plan to build a large one instead of starting small and then having to enlarge it later?
